If you owe Ohio state income taxes, you can:
- Donate up to $750 (individual filers)
- Donate up to $1,500 (married filing jointly)
Your donation qualifies for a 100% dollar-for-dollar credit on your Ohio tax return.
Instead of sending that portion of your taxes to the state’s general fund, you can choose to direct it toward scholarships that help students attend Sacred Heart School.

How to Donate
Donating through the SGO is straightforward:
- Visit dotsgo.org
- Select Donate Now.
- Choose Donate Online or Mail a Check
- If you select Donate Online, you will have 2 options: Credit Card or Direct Debit from a bank account.
- Ways to Donate:
- If you select Credit Card, follow the prompts to complete the form.
- If you elect to do a direct debit from your bank account, click on Direct Debit and follow the prompts.
- If you elect to Mail a Check, please print the form and fill it out. Make checks payable to: Diocese of Toledo Scholarship Fund.
- Enter Your Donation Amount.
- Select Sacred Heart School, Shelby as the school name.
- You will receive documentation indicating that you have donated to the scholarship fund. This document will be your proof that you can take the tax credit on your Ohio State Income Tax filing form.
