scholarships

EdChoice Scholarship (K-8)

Every student in Ohio is eligible to receive an EdChoice scholarship provided by the state of Ohio to help cover tuition costs. The scholarship amount is based on your household income.

If you’re new to the program, you’ll need to complete an ODE Scholarship Application provided by the school office.

Families who have received the scholarship in previous years must fill out a renewal form annually to continue receiving support.

Applications are now open, please contact us to apply! We are encouraging all families to apply for an EdChoice Scholarship.

All first-time EdChoice Expansion applicants must have their income verified by the Office of Nonpublic Educational Options. Scholarships for EdChoice Expansion are awarded based on the Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of a family’s household. If a family’s household income is at or below 450 percent of the Federal Poverty Level, they will be awarded the maximum scholarship amount. If a family’s household income is at or above 451 percent of the Federal Poverty Level, the student’s scholarship award will be prorated based on their specific percentage of the Federal Poverty Level. The scholarship can only be used to pay tuition. Parents and/or guardians may have to pay registration fees, material fees and other similar types of fees. Families who qualify for low-income status (at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines) do not have to pay any tuition beyond the amount of the scholarship. If the private school’s tuition is higher than the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship amount and the family does not qualify for low-income status, the family may have to pay the difference.

How to Apply: Families must first complete the admission and enrollment process at a participating private school. The school then submits the official scholarship application on the family's behalf through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce portal.

Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program (K-8)

The Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program provides scholarships to students who are eligible to attend kindergarten through 12th grade and have an Individualized Education Program (IEP) from their district of residence.

The amount of each scholarship is based on the disability identified on the student’s IEP as classified into categories set by the state legislature.

JPSN scholarship applications are available year round. Please contact us to apply or visit the school office for an application form.
